I N S P I R E

As our growth inquiry for the term has come to an end, we created a pic collage to show what four things plants need to grow, and what we grew.  We were very quick learners on the pic collage app and are proud of our work.

Inquiries keep going, so we still have wonderings about growth.....

Tia Gets A Special Trophy!

Mr Oliver and Mrs Ray were very excited to receive a HUGE trophy in the mail to give out to students in our school who get 10,000 answers on www.skoolbo.co.nz

Tia from Room 3 has been working so hard and was the first one awarded the trophy.  We are all so happy for her and now she has over 12,000 answers!!!!  We wonder who will get it next?

Bottle Top Flowers-Visual Art

This term we have been collecting recycled bottle tops and on Friday Mrs Ray brought in two big wooden flowers to decorate with them.

First we had to sort the tops into colours, we loved doing this.

Then we got to place them and glue them all onto a flower.

After lunch, Mrs Ray's husband Blair came and helped us screw each top on to the wood.  We all had a turn using the drill and it was great!

Here are the flowers all ready to be hung outside......we LOVE them.

Calendar Art

We have been very busy creating our zentangle art for our calendars this year.  We are very proud of them and hope you buy our art to look at all year long.

Making Huts

We have been learning about what people need to grow and  how shelter is very important. We created some shelters out of our desks and chairs.  We had so much fun and wrote our stories about it too.

Happy Birthday Abigail and Steve the Fireman

Yesterday the 31st of August, Abi turned 6.  She had a lovely big smile and loved her day.

Today we had Steve the fireman come to talk to us about being firewise.  We were able to help him with lots of answers from what we have learnt in class.  We even got to see Mrs Crawshaw put on his firefighter gear!
